Healthcare

Can a floor reduce the risk of injury from a fall?  Can a floor enhance staff wellbeing?  Can a floor quiet the healing environment?  Yes, it can.

Emotions run high in hospitals. Patients, families, doctors, nurses, and countless other people vacillate from fear and exhaustion to relief and elation in the span of a few minutes, hours, or days. The floor is the last thing on anyone’s mind. And if it’s the right floor, that’s the way it should be.

Our floors don’t have a medical degree, yet they’re a critical part of the support team. They can prevent falls, leave nurses with a spring in their step even after a 12-hour shift, allow surgeons to stand comfortably in the OR during the longest of procedures, and help provide a sterile environment to prevent infections from spreading. Ultimately, flooring that’s good for health professionals is flooring that’s good for patient care and health outcomes. Our floors even quiet the rush of hospital activity so patients can get a healing night’s sleep. That’s why hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities around the world give Ecore a clean bill of health.

Safety

No one wants to stay in the hospital longer than they must, but taking a fall can cause broken bones or worse, leading to longer hospital stays and higher bills, and more liability for the hospital itself. Our non-slip flooring prevents falls in the first place, and absorbs shock if a fall does happen, mitigating injuries and allowing more patients to get home where they belong.

Ergonomics

Doctors and nurses spend their lives caring for others. We make caring for them part of our mission. Standing and walking for long shifts day after day can take a toll on joints and overall sense of wellness. Ecore floors are designed to reduce impact with every step, making staff more comfortable, more energetic, and better able to do what they do best: care for patients.

Acoustics

Between vital checks, rattling food service carts, and non-stop institutional noise, getting a good night’s sleep in the hospital seems like a pipe dream. And lack of sleep makes it immensely more difficult to heal and recover. The same technologies that make our floors safe and ergonomic also make them extra quiet, so patients don’t hear footsteps and rolling carts in the hallway, chatter from the room next door, or the visitors in Room C.
